Arctic Circle Snowmobile

This snowmobile tour will bring you to the Arctic Circle “ The Magic Destination ” up in the North of Swedish Lapland. We do not start in the area of the Arctic Circle but 400 km South of the Arctic Circle. A long expedition-tour of about 600 km through huge fairylike forests, frozen swamps, frozen lakes, mountains covered by deep snow and the tundra of Swedish Lapland. Accommodation in cottages and small cabins. Shared bathroom.

No previous experience in snowmobiling is needed but a good physical condition. A long tour combined with adrenaline, physical strength and fun. 600 cc. 4 stroke snowmobile, (NOTE: 1 person/snowmobile). Professional English speaking guides. Wilderness lunch on a bonfire. At the Arctic Circle, you will receive the Arctic Circle Diploma.

Period: February – April. 6 days, 5 nights, 4 days snowmobile tour.

Day 1: Arrival at Vilhelmina airport. Welcomed by one of our professional snowmobile guides. Accommodation in double room at the Wilhelmina hotel, overlooking the spectacular lake Volg. Dinner and a briefing about the tour for the coming days. You will be provided a travel holdall bag that you bring with you on the trip. Your ordinary luggage will be stored at the hotel during the trip. Get your winter clothes for the Snowmobile tour.
Day 2: Early breakfast with briefing about the safety and security of the trip. Departure when briefing and breakfast is completed towards Arctic circle. Outdoor lunch onroute. Arrival in the late afternoon at the first stop for this expedition. Sauna and Dinner in the evening.
Day 3: Again an early breakfast. The journey towards the magic north continues time .Lunch in the wild with cooking on bonfire. Arrival at the accommodation in the late afternoon. Dinner in the evening. Weather providing we may be able to see the northern light.
Day 4: Breakfast. The Artic circle will be reached around lunch time. Here lunch will be served and some time for phote sessions will be made available. Return trip will commence after lunch. Arrival at the next hotel. Jacuzzi and Sauna before dinner.
Day 5: Breakfast. Departure for Wilhelmina hotel. Outdoor lunch served onroute. Arrival at the hotel in the afternoon where a warm jacuzzi and sauna will await you. Debriefing during dinner with a special Arctic Circle Diploma being handed out
Day 6: Breakfast and departure.

Minimum of 4 persons and a maximum of 10 persons.

Snowmobile Mountain Tour

This snowmobile tour in the mountains will bring you through the huge fairylike forests, the tundra and the mountains of Lapland. 5 days snowmobiling. Wilderness lunch break. Day 2: Breakfast.briefing Snowmobile – how to drive a snowmobile and a run down of the rules and regualtions. Commence tour to the mountains of Saxnäs. Outdoor lunch. Arrival in Saxnäs in the late afternoon. Accommodation in double room. Sauna. Dinner.
Day 3: Breakfast. Snowmobile ride through the mountains. Lunch break prepared on a camp fire in the middle of nowhere. Arrival at the accommodation in the afternoon. Sauna. Dinner. Relaxing evening in hottub to soften the sore muscles.
Day 4: Breakfast. Snowmobile safari.Today we drive to the other side of the valley. Wilderness lunch break. Arrival at the accommodation in the afternoon. Sauna. Dinner.
Day 5: Breakfast. Snowmobile tour towards Vilhelmina. Wilderness lunch break. Accommodation at the Wilhelmina hotel (or transfer to airport). Sauna. Dinner.
Day 6: Breakfast and departure.

Accommodation in double room at the Vilhelmina hotel.The Lodge is located in Vilhelmina with a beautiful view over the lake Volg sjön. A Dinner is served in the evening. Clothes for the snowmobile tour is handed out.
Day 2: Breakfast. Briefing about how to drive a snowmobile as well as the security rules.Snowmobile tour to the Bear Hill. You will drive through various landscapes.(forests,mountains,frozen lakes).Lapland lunch break. Drive back to the hotel in the late afternoon where a warm jacuzzi and sauna will await you. Traditional Lapland Dinner in a teepee (sami tent).
Day 3: Breakfast and snowmobile safari through fairylike forests and frozen lakes. Wilderness lunch break. Learn how to make a campfire. Return to the Lodge. Sauna. Dinner.
Day 4: Breakfast and snowmobile safari. Lapland lunch break. Drive back to D-experience headquarter for shower and snacks. Departures for airport in afternoon.

Enjoy a short drive through town to start point then it’s time to hold on tight. As soon as you hit the trail, you’ll discover what our vehicles do best— Miles of miles of offroad driving rocks to the most remote areas around lapland. Some of big screen movies have been shot up here and the area is frequently used for movie making.

Majestic photo ops await along our trek. Take a short walk to viewpoints that beg to be photographed and shared with friends. The trail winds through laplands wilderness to our first night stop. Here, a panorama of empty wilderness and unique nature gives you a grand sense of scale. Look skyward to catch the northern lights if the tour is during the darker months.

Next morning it is back aboard your Jeep for more off-road fun before we hit the arctic circle. We will have plenty of opportunity to try the real offroad capacity of the JEEPs and see nature which is difficult to find anywhere else on earth.

You’ll quickly see how this run earned its name. Hang on as your guide assists in how to handle superior all-terrain driving capabilities to navigate rocks, ruts and roots on your way through this exciting offroad section of this exciting descent.

Weekend Ice Driving: Thursday-Sunday

An intensive long motor weekend (Thursday to Sunday) package during which you will learn the ultimate ice driving techniques as well as a magic snowmobile rides through the magic winter landscape of Swedish Lapland.

Our circuit is a 3,2 km long, well maintained ice circuit. We can assure you fun drifting sensations, adrenaline kicks and an exhilarating winter driving experience. The Team of D-Experience driving instructors will teach you all the different techniques, as well in theory as in practice. We are here to have fun and we put the driving and riding at the front of D – experience. Over and above the driving events we will also take you on a tour through the winter landscape on our new Snowmobiles.

Accommodation is at the Wilhelmina hotel overlooking the magnificent lake Volgsjon. The package includes a part in a double room and all meals and soft drinks are inclusive. After a day on the ice or behind the Skidoo handlebars, the jacuzzi and sauna are awaiting you.
